Stewards Of Our Own Souls
So, the good news is — you do not have to look to religion, a church, or a man to bring a “word” or a little bit of heaven. It’s already in you.
The not-so-good news is that you cannot look to religion, a church, or a man to grow it. You are the one and only steward of your soul, and you can never pass that responsibility to another person, no matter what agreement the two of you may reach.

Seek First Mission Statement
What is Seek First?
As odd as it may seem, it makes sense to start with what Seek First is NOT. It is not our mission at Seek First to create another online community, nor do we wish to start another local church or assembly. We are also not here to provide another sermon series, set of opinions, or to create division, as we are not out to compete, win, or persuade anyone of our personal mission or vision. We are simply here to encourage others to SEEK FIRST GOD’S KINGDOM.

The Great Sin
Pride - The Great Sin “We have become what evil wishes for us to be, and that is tortured and violent against ourselves or against others. And if we understand the work of the Gospel, it is that He looks in your eyes and He offers you the tender, clear knowledge of what you have done, who you have harmed, how you have harmed your own heart. And then what he offers is the promise of this, what the psalmist says in Psalm 139:17: ‘My thoughts about you are precious.’” - Dan Alle

Truth and Justice

Obedience is Required
While I believe that obedience is required for my salvation, I do not believe that God ever meant for His gift of salvation to feel like a burden to me. I do not believe that He wants me to feel like I have to “work” for something that He freely gives to me.
Therefore, I see now that my obedience is required, not to please Him, but to SAVE ME.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 ESV

I Was Lost.
I was lost. I am not talking about being lost many years ago, but about recently. When I finally got to really looking at me, I realized I was not in the location I thought I was in. I’m not sure I would have made the cut had the trumpet sounded, as I truly believe that I was lost.
I’m thankful that God allowed me to hear the message loud and clear: I cannot rescue myself, so I desperately need a Savior to come save me. He wants to walk with me or more accurately, He wants m

Scriptural References- False Prophets and False Teachers
What does the Bible say about false prophets and false teachers? It is important to go straight to the sources when studying any topic or searching for answers. 2 Timothy 3:16 says " All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,"
The Bible is the infalliable Word of God and is our first resource in searching out answers.

The Voice | Seek First the Kingdom
I believe that part of my personal pursuit for the Kingdom of God is to obediently share my testimony, and it is my prayer that my voice will simply help you hear the voice of your Heavenly Father more clearly in your own life.

A Road Map to Recovery
Every day there are new headlines or a new social media post that shocks my conscience. Daily. I do not believe that I am alone in feeling like every time I look, there is something more outrageous than when I looked last. It’s exhausting, and it seems that the more tired we all grow, the more it seems we all lash out. It is a machine that our society can’t seem to stop feeding. From that perspective, it’s easy to see why so many people are losing hope. That’s why the Bride o
